The veteran is an elderly resident of Gravity Falls, Oregon. He seems to be a fan of Gideon Gleeful.

Season 1[]
The veteran is first seen in "Irrational Treasure," where he partakes in the annual Pioneer Day.
In "The Time Traveler's Pig," he attends the Mystery Fair.
In "Fight Fighters," he waits in line for his order at Smokey Joe's All You Can Eat buffet when Rumble McSkirmish barges through, ruining the food he was waiting for.
He appears in Dipper's story in "Bottomless Pit!."
In "Gideon Rises," he attends the grand closing of the Mystery Shack. Later, he is disappointed and angered at Gideon who was revealed to be a fraud.
Season 2[]
In "Scary-oke," he attends the Mystery Shack's grand re-opening with other townsfolk. He is later in the Mystery Shack and left when Agent Powers and Agent Trigger arrive.
In "Sock Opera," he watches Gabe Bensen perform a puppet performance for the children at Gravity Falls Library. He later watches Mabel's sock puppet act at Theatre Time Theater.
He is one the people whom Dipper lists as "suspicious townsfolk" in "Society of the Blind Eye."
In "The Stanchurian Candidate," he is seen attending the Friday debate.
In "Weirdmageddon 3: Take Back The Falls," he is stacked in Bill's Throne.

He is an elderly, light-skinned man with white hair and a white mustache. He wears a cap bearing an eagle symbol, a brown shirt, a gold bracelet and maroon pants with a black belt and silver buckle.
