Five nights at freddy's is a horror game based off of a pizza place with animatronics that sing songs for young children at brirthday partys. In the game you work the night shift and watch over the animatronics only to here the previous worker has some sketchy stuff to say about the place. Long story short, watch out.

    alright, the proof.

    Trailer for season 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CQSLFBfZXF0

Look at 0:17. 2 animatronics. Both holding guitars, one having a pizza hat on.

    What does this mean?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CQSLFBfZXF0 - game play of five nights at freddys

    Look at 0:54.

    Compare both the scenes.

    See?

    -BOTH HAVE GUITARS

    -BOTH ARE ANIMATRONICS

-BOTH ARE FROM A PIZZA PLACE

    -BOTH ARE SAME ANIMALS

    -BOTH ARE SCARY

Basically proven by now. If you think that this does not really matter, well, just watch the gameplay i linked. It will matter after you watch it.

Alex Hirsch has put a lot of references into the show, some what scary and strange. More inforomation about some of the stuff he got into the show here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sM00BMQ9sHw&list=UUVJ2GFJzJgwyN7eWWWSpcHA

    • Both are satirizing restaurants where they have animatronic singing animals, most notably ones like Chuck E. Cheese's.

Also the scripts were written months ago, and possibly even last year seemingly from Kristen Shaal's statement, and the game wasn't even released then.

    • According to some AMA Hirsch did about a year ago, he claimed to be writing "Sock Opera".

Five Nights at Freddy's came out in July, Hirsch started writing Sock Opera in August 2013...

    • They've been working on Gravity Falls season 2 for an entire year now. Five Nights at Freddy's is a very recently popular game. It's impossible for this to be a reference. Actually, parodies of Chuck E. Cheese's like this have been done before in other cartoons. Take the episode of Regular Show titled "Fuzzy Dice" for example. The episode featured these guys: http://regularshow.wikia.com/wiki/Capicola_Gang

That episode aired in 2012. Anyways, don't want to call you out or make you feel bad about connecting two and two together. Just wanted to explain that this idea has been used before Freddy's made it really popular.

      Don't forget Dexter's Laboratory!

    • It's even weirder because (although I can't remember where) I once heard that the creator, Alex Hirsch, is actually a fan or at least aware of FNaF. A fact that I have not confirmed to be true or not for anyone thinking about holding it against me in case I'm wrong.

Um, you're thinking of Nightmare on Elm Street. This is completely different.

Yeah, I always remembered that one, but that was BEFORE any of the FNAF games, that episode is OLD. But due to that, Scott may have seen that and gotten a little inspiration to do it, as well as Chipper and sons wood co.'s graphics made people think they were animatronics as well, even.

    • The episode, "Soos and the Real Girl" was made before FNaF.

    • This could be true, but the robot on the left actually also looks like a Chuck E Cheese character (forgot his name). And that same character is actually what inspired fnaf itself.
