Yazzy and I noticed that some people's signatures are getting a bit unwieldy. This is a common thing as wikis grow, and other wikis have had to deal with the issue (e.g., 1 and 2). I do not wish our rules to be as strict as those two examples though.
Examples of signatures that are starting to be a bit much (no offense intended to these users):
Too large, no idea whose signature (no name), fairly long, and no time stamp
Specifically, all non-Gravity Falls images must be uploaded on other wikis.

This is a rule proposal. You all are welcome to suggest things, or suggest removing things. Honestly, I'm not too concerned with 2 frame gifs like Totally me245 and Bill Cipher's, but that's my personal opinion.
I would suggest using Little Miss Rarity's signature maker thingy, or even just build a simple span one. You don't need to have an excessively awesome signature for it to serve its purpose. Take mine: MasterCeadeus 07:29, January 7, 2014 (UTC)
Help! My son and his best friend are keep on getting banned because of some people doing so!!! Please have pity on them...they have personal issued which makes them crazy without fun, and they can only have fun by in this wikia thing! Please....
I like the Warriors wiki's signature policy, specifically the rule that says that the sig does not have to contain the user's full (user)name, but part of it or something that would be recognizable (like Bill's "I'll be watching you"). But then I would have to change my sig, if I can ever get it to work.
Gifs can get really annoying really quick. But also they are typically much larger in file size and can cause pages to load slowly, especially on mobile devices. I honestly don't mind the 2 frame gifs like Totally and Bill have. I can change that.
The reason for the height limit is that formatting gets odd when they're too tall. This sentence is just to fill space so you can see what I mean. You get lines that don't match up like this one compared to the last one.
Oppose — Personally I like creative signatures and I think maybe we should try with very few and simple rules and then only add more if the need arises later. I recommend that the name be required to be visible and that there be a size limit, I think that sentences and animated gifs are fine, most people's Internet and computers can handle those sort of elements these days. If if becomes overwhelming then maybe we can make new guidelines later. With an issue like this, I see less as being more, in terms of the restrictions, this way people can have a chance to adjust their designs but without losing so much of their work and freedom.
I also don't think long sentences should be allowed. It's really unnecessary, and defeats the purpose of signatures, which is to identify the user leaving a comment.
Really, I think these are very reasonable rules. Check out the above rule examples that EF linked about. They're much harsher.
Yeah I think long sentences are stupid and people don't use periods anymore and they just keep blabbing and blabbing and blabbing and blabbing and blabbing on and don't stop and your reading it like what is happening where are all the periods and why is he going on about nothing.
