  • Hi all,

There's been some confusion about appearance information for characters, creatures, objects, and places in the infoboxes. This post is meant to clarify it.

    • The "first" appearance should be the first episode, not the intro. I have changed the infoboxes to say "First episode" to reflect this.
    • The "last" should be the latest episode. NOTE: if the character/creature/object/place has only made one appearance, you do not need to fill this part out. To have the same episode for both is redundant.
    • For objects, we have the "times" field. This should be the number of episodes it has appeared in (excluding the intro).
    • For characters/creatures/objects that appear in an image first and in person later, please do note that. Again, this only applies to episodes, not the intro. See Robbie as an example. And yes, I know the quotes get a bit screwed up, but we can live with it.

Any questions, comments, etc. please leave a message below.

Edit: If something only appears in the intro, like Speedy Beaver, then just put Tourist Trapped (intro only) and "times" as 1

Edit #2: If something is just mentioned, that doesn't count as an appearance for the "Times" option. If it appears in an image (e.g., 3) that does count.

    • This will definitley make this wiki less confusing for people who aren't as big of Gravity Falls fans as the majority of us, and checked out this wiki because they saw the show for the first time. I always was kind of annoyed by the fact that the main characters first appearance was "Made Me Realize" and not "Tourist Trapped", so job well done, EF!

And I like the new button color. While I was always used to orange, red is also a nice color. :)

    • Thank Yazzy for the red. I like it too

    • I disagree with stuff only appearing in the intro-it should say Made Me Realize. Otherwise, by that logic, all stuff that FIRST appears in the intro such as Waddles would have to go by that logic...

    • Bill - Well... there is only one case of it, and it might show up in Gideon Rises. Otherwise, I'm not sure what to do with it... maybe just not say anything for "First episode"

    • Okay. Because for some reason I think the bus in Gideon Rises is going to be Speedy Beaver.

    • I wasn't really confused with the infobox thing, but this would be more easier toidentify, cause the theme song doesn't matter.Only the episodes do.

    • It's a good idea. Must remember this.

    • What if the last appearance is short? We have several characters/objects (such as Gompers and the grappling hook) that cite a short as teir last episode, while main charactrs have "Gideon Rises" as their last episode. I think tat the shorts should betheir last episode listed, because they're cannon, but the way it is now is inefficient.

    • This guideline was made before we even found out about shorts. But yes, shorts are counted as "episodes."
