  • Here's what I originally thought:
Twins Dipper and Mabel were sent by their parents to look for something in the woods, when they got kidnapped by a man named Stan who went by the nickname Uncle Stan (the commercial said "Uncle," not "Grunkle") who wasn't really their uncle, he just went by that. He took them to Gravity Falls and forced them to live in the Mystery Shack. They met Soos, Wendy, and others, along with many, many monsters.

What did you originally think the show was going to be?

    • Haha I don't think they would allow a Disney show to have a premise like that.

I thought it was gonna be yet another show about kids who went to some crappy summer camp in the middle of nowhere with weird noises coming out of the woods, with the typical plot being that they discover rats in the toilet or something. For this reason I initially avoided the show like the plague.

I can imagine that if the show went like that, Stan would be a counselor, and Soos and Wendy would be Dipper and Mabel's bunkmates.

    • When I¬†watched it for the first time I thought it was going to be just unsignificant kids show with some weird stuff.

    • At first, I didn't know the show was produced by Disney, so, judging from the name "Gravity Falls", I thought the plot may be like something really sci-fi. Actually, I never watched any of the trailers before the show.

    • at first, I thought it was another Disney show for kids! I was so wrong, hah? Then 2 boys sitting near me at my class told me about the mysteries, the codes in this show. I got obsessed after that!
