"Ford discovers Billā€™s true motives and then a final confrontation with Bill leads to the Pines familyā€™s ultimate fate and greatest sacrifice."

Somebody should remove the trivia part about the shortened theme song. The Theme was used in Part 2, and he names all his files after the production numbers and Part 2 had the number 220, so saying he meant the twentieth of season 2 is just complete speculation, and would also make no sense, considering how he named all the other tracks. Hero Fan (talk) 02:36, January 1, 2016 (UTC)

No, we should not remove it. It said before on the SoundCloud file season 2, episode 20, so we're keeping that there. We count this episode 20 on the wikia. What show staff says is true until proven false, no matter how unlikely it is. Saying that it's not shortened is speculation as well. Wait until episode airing to remove it, you're jumping the gun. - PokƩmonGamer* 01:19, January 4, 2016 (UTC)

Rename

If the script cover is any indication, the official production title is simply "Weirdmageddon 3". I've seen lots of cases where the press & publicity name an episode a bit differently than the actual production title (which becomes confusing for shows that don't use title cards). But yeah, since TMOGF appeared to have gotten that from Disney a similar way the press releases show it, they will probably publicize it as "...3: Take Back the Falls" despite the production title.

...sorry for that blabbering but I had to explain it for it to make sense, even if it makes less sense now. Should it be renamed back? ~CoinsCP 06:25, January 2, 2016 (UTC)

It's official, so just because it's likely not true, doesn't mean it is false. They could've shortened it for convenience sake on the script. - PokƩmonGamer* 01:25, January 4, 2016 (UTC)
"Shortened it for convenience sake"? Yeah, you don't understand how production works. ~CoinsCP 19:09, January 5, 2016 (UTC)
CoinsCP, be nicePeacexfreedom (talk) 19:20, January 5, 2016 (UTC)
I am being nice. It's the official script cover, they wouldn't include a shortened title on it, they'd use the official production title. ~CoinsCP 19:30, January 5, 2016 (UTC)
I know what you mean, but it's just the way you phrased it. But it's all good now. No harm done.Peacexfreedom (talk) 19:37, January 5, 2016 (UTC)
Or they could've renamed the episode to include that. You never know. As of now, the official title is "Weirdmageddon 3: Take Back The Falls." Production details can change, you know. - PokƩmonGamer* 20:38, January 5, 2016 (UTC)
Disney is an official source after all. See here: http://www.disneyabcpress.com/disneyxd/shows/gravity-falls/episodes/weirdmageddon-3-take-back-the-falls/. For now, we can safely assume that is the official title until proven otherwise. - PokƩmonGamer* 20:41, January 5, 2016 (UTC)
While it is an unofficial source, Zap2it has confirmed this is not just "Weirdmageddon 3", so we don't need to worry. - PokƩmonGamer* 23:43, January 13, 2016 (UTC)
A little ("little?" sure, Riley) late on this response, but hasn't Alex said himself that Zap2it's not the best source? I think he said that back when Roadside Attraction and The Last Mabelcorn were listed on Zap2it with the same air date. ~CoinsCP 07:49, January 29, 2016 (UTC)

Incorrect capitalization

Please rename the article to Weirdmageddon 3: Take Back the Falls, at least for nowā€”not only is it basic rules of capitalization, but certain articles don't capitalize "the".

That title is from the Disney/ABC Press, which capitalized "The". Therefore, we must have it capitalized in the page name. See A Tale of Two Stans. Until proven otherwise, we capitalized "Of." - PokƩmonGamer* 03:59, January 4, 2016 (UTC)
Very well. Wouldn't be surprised if the actual capitalization would turn out to be "the" and not "The", though. But I suppose we'll see.

Overview released

An official plot overview has been released on Disney XD's press site:

"Ford discovers Bill's true motives and then a final confrontation with Bill leads to the Pines family's ultimate fate and greatest sacrifice."

Since the site also provides the air date and title, we can use it to condense the reference section. Here's the full citation to save whoever ends up updating the article some time:

Stan's Code

the first code with Stan's eyes says "SYMBOLS PLACED AROUND A WHEEL HAND AND HAND THEY'LL BOND THE SEAL BREAK THE CHAIN AND PAY THE COST THE PROPHECY WILL ALL BE LOST."

Found same way as second page cipher. (Original numbers are wrong, real ones are 4-19-10 5-25-11-22-9-12-5 8-12-23-21-19-20 23-6-9-3-10-20 23 1-16-19-19-12  16-23-10-20 15-10 16-23-10-20 4-16-19-25'12-12 22-9-10-20 4-16-19 5-19-23-12 22-3-4 22-6-19-23-13 4-16-19 21-16-23-15-10, 23-10-20 8-23-25 4-16-19 21-9-5-4 4-16-19 8-6-9-8-16-19-21-25 1-15-12-12 23-12-12 22-19 12-9-5-4)

Summary for Episode

I've just finished writing a summary for the episode. It's slightly rough around the edges, but it's getting late and I just wanted to get a complete summary up. I hope the wiki page is unlocked soon so that I can post it.

Bus Seat Cryptogram

There is a cryptogram on a bus seat in Take Back the Falls that's pretty hard to read, but once deciphered the cryptogram reads the following:

ZMFUIGV PSHP IGK AGTAYAG TRMNE VVGSQW KLE JOJXY CABXK

It is a vigenere cipher. The key is "HIDDEN DEEP WITHIN THE WOODS A BURIED TREASURE AWAITS". This translates to "SECRETS LOST AND STATUES FOUND BEYOND THE RUSTY GATES". This was a clue hinting to the CipherHunt that took place in August 2016, the Bill Cipher statue, as well as some buried treasures, could be found in a forest in Oregon beyond some rusty gates.

Full poem:

Hidden deep within the woods a buried treasure awaits

Secrets lost and statues found beyond the rusty gates

Cryptogram on Bus Seat

Found The Key

The cryptogram at the credits is encoded with a Vigenere Cipher. The code is AXOLOTL. Once decoded it says "GOODBYE GRAVITY FALLS"

Trivia

Bowser's roar from Super Mario 64 can be heard when the water tower monster reverts back to normal after Cipher's defeat.

Cryptograms

There was a cryptogram I noticed during the credits that contained a lot of the letter G (I don't remember it now) but I do not see it on the page.

Bill's backward message

I don't think this should be here. I've listened to it, and it just isn't clear enough. You can play ANYTHING backwards and hear something if you try. There's no way I would have heard anything if people hadn't been repeating it over and over again. Some people play Beatles songs backward and hear things like "Paul is a dead man," which, yes, I can SORT OF hear that if I try and have the words right in front of me, but that hardly makes it intentional. Mr BKnew yourfather I did! 15:35, February 16, 2016 (UTC)

But axlotl is actually a code that decodes a cryptogram.

GavinSlavin (talk) 16:22, February 16, 2016 (UTC)

Yeah, AXOLOTL is the Vignere code that you have to use to decode the cipher in the end credits.
