Shermy looks like a girl not a boy DarkSuicune2000 Check out my profile! 01:59, July 15, 2015 (UTC)
That baby wasn't necessarily Shermy. And even if it was it doesn't matter whether it "looks" female or male. Shermy is definitely her son we just don't know if we've seen him or not. We're definitely not changing something like that because we think it doesn't "look" right. OnlyOnTuesdays88 talk 02:01, July 15, 2015 (UTC)
- Comment — I believe the reasoning is that (a) Mrs. Pines had been used to refer to Dipper and Mabel's mother (at least, up until 2x12), and (b) Stan referred to her as "Ma." But I see your point. I've gone to search her page but forgot that she's listed as "Ma." Peacexfreedom (talk) 21:56, March 9, 2016 (UTC)
If that's the only rationale, we should change it. That would be like calling Dipper and Mabel's parents page "Mom and Dad Pines". This page would be "Mrs. Pines" and the page currently named "Mr. and Mrs. Pines" could be called "Dipper and Mabel's parents". Should we have a disambiguation page? Rename to "Mrs. Pines"
- Support — "Ma Pines" would be like calling the page about Dipper and Mabel's parents "Mom and Dad Pines". There's no source for "Ma" other than Stan calling her "Ma", but that's because he's her son. No one who is not her child calls her "ma" that we know of. Thus, this title is unofficial, and "Mrs. Pines" is what she's referred as in the credits, so we should go with that. Mr BKnew yourfather I did! 00:38, March 11, 2016 (UTC)
