My Perfect Dream Date is a song sung by Chibi Mabel Pines (and briefly by Chibi Grunkle Stan) in the Chibiverse series. It follows her as she explains to Chibi Gyro Gearloose her idea of the perfect dream date to take her to the Chibi Hawkins Dance, so he can input it into a robot boyfriend for her.

After rejecting the various Chibi boys she was considering to take out to the Chibi Hawkins Dance, Chibi Mabel decides to make one instead. her and Chibi Grunkle Stan (who was helping her out by order of the Chibi court or else he would be forced to shave Soos) go visit Chibi Gyro Gearloose (from the 2017 DuckTales series) who lets them know he has a spare robot he could program to be Chibi Mabel's date. He asks Chibi Mabel what she'd want from it and she proceeds to explain in song everything she wants to robot to be like.
Video[]
Chibi Mabel starts explaining what she wants the robot to look like as it is being assembled. She wants it to have blue, then brown, then green and finally blue eyes, various traits like being able to play a guitar, drive a car, floss and more. Chibi Mabel wants it to also be good but down to cause a little bit of trouble, portrayed by an angel and devil version of herself. As Chibi Gyro is assembling the robot, Chibi Mabel is painting him pink with stickers. She then shows a complex math equation about how the robot must be the a lecture hall full of other Chibi Mabels.
With the song over, Chibi Gyro asks if it's everything she wants, to which Chibi Mabel says no and starts singing again. She now also wants the robot boy to be like the boys in her fanfiction, have various personality types, be nice to his mom with a good laugh and also eyelashes like a giraffe. A near complete robot is now in the scenes as in a boat with Chibi Mabel, to which Chibi Gyro protests, as being around water could damage the electronics.
Chibi Mabel also wants him to have perfect hair, bake his own bread and never leave her on read. Meanwhile, Chibi Stan, wishes he was dead from how much he despises being there. As Mabel's finishing up the song, the robot is done and joins her in the song to end it.
Lyrics[]
Make him the dreamiest tween I've ever seen
With eyes so blue
No brown, I mean green
A vampire prince
or a guy with a car
Remembers to floss,
Does lacrosse, plays guitar
Muscular calves and peach mustache stubble
A good boy who causes a little bit of trouble
You getting this down
Please don't make me restate
My criteria for the perfect dream date
Gyro: All right. Are we done?
Mabel: No.
A boy from my fan fiction
Get every word
An emo, goth, jock, class clown, slacker slash nerd
He's nice to his mom,
and he has a great laugh
With beautiful eyelashes like a giraffe
Gyro: No liquids around the sensitive electronics.
Perfect bedhead,
Makes his own bread,
Never leaves me on read
Stan: I wish I was dead!
Can't wait to hold hands, we'll interdigitate
Robot: As soon as you meet,
Both: My perfect dream date
Trivia[]
- This marks the first official song sung by Kristen Schaal as Mabel since Call Me Mabel in 2020 for Disney Channel's Broken Karaoke web series. It's also the first time she has sung a song as Mabel in an official Disney series since Taking Over Midnight.
- As the Chibiverse series is not considered canon to Gravity Falls, this song is not regarded as part of series canon, or even sung by Mabel herself, as Chibiverse lore states all the characters were designed in a lab.
- The song and related Chibiverse episode mark the first time Kristen Schaal and Alex Hirsch have recorded for an official Disney or Gravity Falls related project since the Journal 3 Infomercial in 2017.
- Storyboarding for the song was done by Monty Ray, who voiced Miko on Glitch Techs.[1][2]
- On the Instagram post of the song by Disney TVA, the line "Can't wait to hold hands, we'll interdigitate," is miscaptioned to have Mabel instead say "Can't wait to hold hands, while in church. It's a treat."[3]
