Fair enough, but you have to remember that this show is geared toward kids. You think those who are young would be satisfied with the ending you want? I think not. Though that's just my opinion/theory.
I don't know if it appears in the edit history or not, but the reason why I undid your undoing, was because it is not a reference to "sleeping beauty" because Mabel is at the top of the tallest tower, but because the way she is sleeping at the top, and because of the rose she holds in her hands
It seems you misunderstood my question. I didn’t ask you what this was if it wasn’t a reference, I was asking rhetorically what a reference is if this isn’t, and thus making my point – an allusion is, according to Merriam-Websters Dictionary, “an implied or indirect reference especially in literature”. What I mean is, why would they put a rose in Mabels hands (just as Briar-Rose has) inside a tower (just like Briar-Rose) while she seems to be waiting to be rescued (just like Briar-Rose), when they easily could have made the scene something else entirely, if not to reference the probably world known movie “Sleeping Beauty”?
Ohhh I didn't notice the rose in the episode. Sorry, I only watched it twice. Then, yes, that is an allusion. I thought it was just the tower. The tower alone would not be an allusion, but the rose thing is too similar to pass.

I don't see it that way. Its an obvious reference, but they can't name the character the same.
This confirms that the episode title is not Weirdmageddon Part 2: Escape From Reality, it's Weirdmageddon 2: Escape From Reality. Unofficial source, but its accuracy at least guarantees it not to be Weirdmageddon Part 2.
There's also this which I believe is Disney renaming the episode. Unfortunately, no official confirmation yet. And yeah, the current title is "Weirdmageddon 2: Escape From Reality," which people were suspecting Disney shortened "Weirdmageddon Part 2: Escape From Reality" to, but it doesn't include the "Part" in the title.
I was just trying to verify this isn't one of those "Northwest Mansion Noir" cases. I was gonna ask about creating a userspace draft, but I edited my first comment and abandoned that idea. I'm not allowed to remove my comments per GF:REFACTOR.
