Melody is Soos Ramirez's long-distance girlfriend from Portland, Oregon.
History
Early life
At some point, Melody went on an unpleasant date with a magician.[1]
Season 2
Melody first appears as the titular "real girl" in "Soos and the Real Girl," while Soos is looking for a date to his cousin's engagement party. Melody sees Soos riding a toy train at the mall, and mentions that she thinks it's cool that Soos indulges his inner child without fear of being ridiculed. She and Soos quickly hit it off. He, being a man-child, and she, being an ingenue, have a lot of similar interests. She asks if he wants to go to Hoo-Ha Owl's Pizzamatronic Jamboree, for a date later that night. However, their already awkward outing takes an odd turn when sentient animatronics are brought to life by .GIFfany and attack them. After .GIFfany's defeat, Soos apologizes for the disastrous night, for which Melody forgives him. He invites her to his cousin's engagement party, to which she agrees. However, she soon reveals that she lives out of town in Portland, but offers to maintain a long-distance relationship with her date via video chatting.
Melody later appears briefly in a video chat with Soos in "The Love God," laughing at Soos' jokes.
In "Weirdmageddon 2: Escape From Reality," she is one of the people in Bill's throne.
During Dipper's monologue at the end of "Weirdmageddon 3: Take Back The Falls," Melody is shown working at the Mystery Shack after Soos became the manager. She is seen wearing her own version of Soos' signature question mark shirt, and is working the cash register.
Appearance
Melody is of average height and has a heavy build. She has light tan skin, full pink lips, and wavy light brown hair, which is pulled back into a loose ponytail. When not in her work uniform for Meat Cute, her outfit consists of a lavender shirt with white polka-dots, white shorts, purple earrings, a lavender hair tie, and periwinkle sandals. She carries a dark pink crossbody bag with a light yellow zigzag at the bottom, two light blue, symmetrical diamonds with smaller, dark pink diamonds in the middle of them on the fold of the bag, and a light blue diamond button to keep the bag closed.
