Matt Chapman (born November 1, 1976[1]) is a writer and voice actor on Gravity Falls. Among others he's voiced Mermando, and wrote many of the shorts for "Dipper's Guide to the Unexplained."[2] He left the Gravity Falls crew in July 2014.[3]

Other Work
Matt, alongside his brother Mike Chapman, have a web animation series known as Homestar Runner. The two brothers (known as The Brothers Chaps) write and animate the cartoons together and Matt does the vast majority of the voices. The site was updated almost every week since 2001, until updates slowed down around 2007 when The Brothers Chaps had children, and eventually halted almost completely in 2009. Holiday toons were posted in December 2010, and Matt insisted on his Twitter that another cartoon is being worked on.
Matt also writes and directs for Yo Gabba Gabba! on Nick Jr., and writes, directs, and acts for The AquaBats Super Show! on The Hub, by the same production company.
He is presently developing his own show for Disney Channel, and has written the screenplay for Monster Safari, an upcoming stop-motion feature for The Jim Henson Co.
He is also a story creator for Wander Over Yonder, another Disney cartoon.
Early life
Matt was born in Indiana, and made many movies,[4] audio shows,[4] and games[5] with his brother and their friends throughout their childhood. Matt graduated from Florida State University Film School. He is married to Jackie Chapman and has two children.
