John Gerald O'Hurley is an American actor, author, and television personality. He was featured in the Gravity Falls episode "The Golf War" as the role of the head knight Lilliputtian.
Early life[]
O'Hurley is a self-taught pianist and classically trained vocalist. O'Hurley has been composing since his teen years, which eventually lead him to pursue minor musical endeavors during his career as an actor. His older sister Carol died in 1970 at the age of 17 due to epileptic seizures, and so John works on behalf of the Epilepsy Foundation to find a cure. He has two brothers who are twins, Bruce O'Hurley of Capitol Hill Services Inc. and Neal O'Hurley.
Career[]
O'Hurley attended Kingswood-Oxford School in West Hartford, Connecticut and graduated from Providence College in 1976 with a BA in Theatre.
His first big role was as Jacopo "J" Peterman on the series Seinfeld from 1995 to 1998. He voiced Blake on the series Father of the Pride from 2004 to 2005.
O'Hurley has been in many different films and TV shows as a regular or guest star. Since 2002 he has been the host of the National Dog Show. He has released two books and several songs.
He also voices King Neptune in the hit Nickelodeon show SpongeBob SquarePants.
