They were originally sold as exclusives at the 2024 San Diego Comic Con in July and became available to buy regularly in September.[1] This is the 2nd line of official plushes for the show since the Jazwares plushes in 2014 and UCC's first successful line of plushes for the series after a failed attempt in 2018.

Cancelled 2018 Plush Set[]
The manufacturer of these plushes, UCC Distributing, once attempted to make Gravity Falls plushes in 2018. Prototypes of their plush set were revealed at the 2018 New York Toys Fair.[2] Their first line was for 9 Mini Plush of the following characters...
They also planned to sell a "Wonder Surprise" Mini Plush set of the same 9 characters that would be smaller. There also was a barfing gnome shapes ball showed off to be made as well. However, by November 2018, UCC cancelled the plush sets for unknown reasons.[3]
