The Gravity Falls Forest is a large wooded area that surrounds Gravity Falls, Oregon. It is also the home to a variety of mystical creatures, such as Gnomes. It was the hiding place of the book 3, until the book was discovered by Dipper Pines. Dipper stated that he felt like he was being watched in the forest.

History

Soon after Dipper and Mabel had arrived in Gravity Falls, their Grunkle Stan told the employees of the Mystery Shack to go and put up posters in the forest. Dipper was elected as the one to put them up, and begrudgingly ventured into the forest to do so.

In the forest, while nailing up the signs, he discovered that one of the signs made a metallic ring. He then discovered a secret panel in the fake tree, which uncovered a strange box with two switches on it. The one of the switches, in turn, revealed the hiding place of the book 3.

Later on, the Gnomes, who were disguising themselves as a boy named Norman, brought Mabel here to attempt to force her to marry them and become their queen. Dipper use the Mystery Cart to saved Mabel, and they fled the forest to fight the gnomes at the Mystery Shack. The Gravity Falls Forest is also where Dipper encountered the Manotaurs.

Part of the forest contains height-altering chrystals. Dipper takes one and uses it to make the Shrinking Flashlight. These chystrals have caused legends of tiny buffalo and giant squirrels, and has created miniature deer and gigantic butterflies.

The Gravity Falls Forest is the setting for a level in the game, Fright Night.
