Gravity Falls Cinestory Comic Boxed Set (now known as Gravity Falls: Graphic Adventures 7-Book Collection) is a boxed set of all 7 of the former Gravity Falls Cinestory comic books by Joe Books and English translated versions of the 3 continuations made by Latin America publisher "Planeta de Libros."
Originally planned to be released in 2018, it was pushed back to 2019 until it was eventually cancelled following the bankruptcy of Joe Books. However, some copies of it did make it out in the public and found to be for sale. In August 2025, the boxed set was revived by Scholastic Australia and released on October 1, 2025, under the new name "Gravity Falls: Graphic Adventures."[1] The set is currently only available in the Australian and New Zealand market.

Cancellation and revival[]
Officially, the box set was never released due to the bankruptcy of Joe Book; the company who was making them for Disney. Despite a few early copies of the set making it out publicly and sold, it was never mass produced.[2][3]To date, the Amazon listing of the original set states it is due to release on January 1, 2050 (Amazon Canada only), which is a random placeholder date for products with no real release planned or never to be. People who did have it on preorder have since received refunds. While Joe Books no longer exists, the Latin America publishers of the Cinestory books, "Planeta de Libros," continues to make them, as well as having published a 6th and 7th volume in the series that continue to be sold in the Latin America market in Spanish only. [4][5]
In August 2025, a remake of the boxed set by Scholastic Australia was discovered to be set for an October 2025 release. The set combines all 7 books made by the two respective publishers and rebrands them as "Gravity Falls: Graphic Adventures." Instead of the custom background design cover of the original set, the new one uses the season 1 poster. According to them, their reasonings for the release stemmed from the following reasons,
- Gravity Falls was an animated comedy series created by Alex Hirsch for Disney, running from 2012 until its epic finale in 2016. The fans haven't gone anywhere though, as this series continues to cultivate a passionate following of adults and newer fans discovering the show in the years following its completion.
- Released in 2024, The Book of Bill was an instant #1 New York Times bestseller that revived the series villain in an epic tome depicting Bill's side of the whole Gravity Falls saga. The success of this title has confirmed for the creators and retailers alike that Gravity Falls retains its dedicated audience.
- This comic-retelling box set is just the beginning of the story.
The set is currently only available in the Australian and New Zealand market, with the possibility of a larger release in the future.
