gravityfalls.tumblr.com was a promotional Tumblr blog run by Disney Channel and Disney XD, launched on March 20, 2010. The blog served as the official blog for Gravity Falls and was used to post production work, fan art and to notify fans about events. It's remained inactive since 2018.

Thanks for checking out the official Gravity Falls Tumblr! We love all the awesome fan creations here and thought it might be cool to join in and upload some exclusive images of the series and its development. Check back often for updates/rants/weird sketches. (Posts may come from a variety of Gravity Falls artists - you never know what you might see!) About Gravity Falls[]
You wouldn’t be here if you weren’t already a fan, right? Gravity Falls is an animated TV series on Disney Channel created by Alex Hirsch about two twins, Dipper & Mabel, and the weird and wonderful summer they have working at their Great Uncle “Grunkle” Stan’s “Mystery Shack” in Gravity Falls, Oregon. Although they expect it to be a normal summer filled with camping trips, crushes, and the occasional mosquito bite, they wind up encountering gnomes, time travelers, rap-hating ghosts and a tubby child psychic bent on their destruction. Stranger still, everything seems to be tied somehow to a mysterious journal with an even more mysterious author. Can the kids unravel the mysteries of the town- and of growing up- and make it home in one piece? Guess you better keep watching to find out!
The blog would be inactive until 2013 after posting that biography in 2010, after which it would be where production art for the show was posted, varying from backgrounds to early concepts of the characters. Starting with Season 2, the Gravity Falls crew moved to posting behind the scenes work on the blog Gravi-Team Falls and gravityfalls.tumblr.com was seldom used. It would occasionally be utilized to post about events that the crew held or help promote episodes and share fan art.
After the series finale[]
After the show ended, gravityfalls.tumblr.com remained active and occasionally shared posts in relation to new merchandise or to celebrate a cast member's birthday.[6]
Puzzling Pines[]
On the night of the Puzzling Pines mini-ARG, the blog was home to one of the pieces fans needed in order to complete the puzzle to reveal the cover of the upcoming book Lost Legends.[7] The piece, number 14/20, showed the rest of Mabel's Shooting Star symbol, the bottom of the inner book and rest of the tentacle on the cover. The statement at the bottom read: "Just when we thought Gravity Falls couldn’t get more weird… Exactly 2 years ago was the Series Finale, and then today this puzzle piece shows up out of nowhere. WHAT DOES IT MEAN?! #PuzzlingPines"[7]
The blog's final posts would be to promote the releases of Lost Legends and the Complete Series box set in July 2018. It has not been active since then and likely will remain so.[8]
