American/Latin Spanish

In American Spanish speaking countries, Gravity Falls is called Gravity Falls: Un Verano De Misterios, meaning "Gravity Falls: A Summer of Mysteries".

  • Mabel's name is pronounced Mah-bel, which is phonetically correct in spanish pronunciation.
  • Waddles' name is "Pato", meaning "duck".
  • In "The Hand That Rocks the Mabel," Dipper says that she looks like "Wolverine", a superhero from X-Men, instead of the animal.
  • Some of the manotaurs' names are changed: Testosteraur is Testosterón, Pubertaur is Puberto, Pituitaur is Hipofisterón, Beardy is Barbón and Leaderaur is Liderán.
  • In "Irrational Treasure," the man from the old film says that he was going to be "destroyed" instead of "shot".
  • Summerween is called "Súper Halloween".
  • The Mystery Shack is called La Cabaña del Misterio, it has the same meaning.
  • In "The Time Traveler's Pig", when Mabel and Dipper got the time machine, Mabel says: "¡Vayamos por dos mamuts y obliguémoslos a que se casen! (let's go for 2 mammoths and force them to get married!)" instead of "Let's get 2 dodos and force them to make out!".

  • Gideon is called "Gideão", and "Gideãozinho" when referred as "Lil' Gideon".
  • Sev'ral Timez is called "Sem Parar". Candy Chiu makes a phonetic pun where she says "Quero beijar vocês Sem Parar!".
  • All of the credits' cryptogams are translated to Portuguese.

Bulgarian

In Bulgaria, Gravity Falls is called Тайните на Гравити Фолс, which roughly translates to The Mysteries Of Gravity Falls.

  • Every song in the English version is dubbed in Bulgarian.
  • The Mystery Shack in Bulgarian is called "Мистериозната Шатра", which means "Mystery Shack".

In Czech and Slovak, Gravity Falls is called Městečko záhad, which roughly translates to "Town of Mysteries".

  • Grunkle Stan's called Zlejda Stan (Based on Zlý (Evil) and Strejda (Uncle)). He is still their Great Uncle in the series.
  • In the episode The Time Traveler's Pig, Waddles is called Tučík (Based on Work Tučný - Fat) however later he is called Pašík (meaning Piggy).
  • There is no whisper at the end of the intro, it says the name instead, however there are still cryptograms.
  • Mystery Shack is called Záhadná chýše (same meaning).
  • In "The Hand That Rocks the Mabel," Dipper says that she looks like "Wolverine", a superhero from X-Men, instead of the animal.
  • Bill Cipher is called Bill Šifra (same meaning).
  • Blendin Blandin came from year 207012 instead of 207̃012
  • When Gideon summons gideon instead of Backwards message, he says "Přijď si pro mě" which means "Come to me!".

  • All of the names of episodes are translated, however these episodes have different names:
  • Sev'ral Timez is called Mocinkykrát, meaning Many Times, but the word 'many' is sweeter, like when mom becomes 'mommy'.
  • Smile Dip is called Chechtáček.
  • The Gobblewonker is The Loch Ness Monster.
  • Grunkle Stan's Fez symbol is not present before the redesig, Except the first episode.
  • In the episode Little Dipper, the main theme (Intro) is in Polish.

Japanese

In Japan, Gravity Falls is broadcasted on Disney Channel Japan with Japanese dubbing. The title is 怪奇ゾーングラビティーフォールズ (kaiki zone gravity falls), which translates to "Bizarre Zone Gravity Falls." Episodes 1 through 12 and 14 have currently aired in Japan, along with the Dipper's Guide to the Unexplained shorts, titled  ディッパーの謎ガイド (dipper no nazo guide), which translates to "Dipper's Mystery Guide."[5]

  • In Japan, there aren't any cryptograms in the ending credits.
  • Waddles' name is "Yotan." This likely comes from the Japanese onomatopoeia "yoro" or "yororo" which represents the sound of waddling.

Korean

In South Korea, Gravity Falls premiered on Disney Channel Korea with Korean dubbing on August 2, 2013. The title is called "디퍼와 메이블의 미스터리 모험 (Dipper wa Mabel ui Mystery Moheom)," which translates to "Dipper and Mabel's Mystery Adventure".

  • Grunkle Stan is called "할아버지" (Halabeoji), which is translates to "Grandfather." However, he is called once Grand-Uncle (삼촌 할아버지 "Samchon Halabeoji"). But according to the traditional Korean's relationship Model, Grand-Uncle is actually called Jongjobu("종조부") in honorfic words. But non-honorfic words as Elder Grandfather("큰 할아버지") or Younger Grandfather ("작은 할아버지") are not used at all.
  • In Korea, Gravity Falls is rated 12 (in Korea, that means 11 in other countries).
  • In Korea, Mystery Shack is called Mystery House ("미스터리 하우스").
  • At the beginning, the sign "Welcome to Gravity Falls" in the first episode is subtitled "딱따구리 마을에 오신 걸 환영합니다!" (Ddakddaguri maeul ui oshin gol hwanyonghamnida), which translates to "Welcome to the Woodpecker Town!" instead of "Welcome to Gravity Falls." However, Dipper also calls it as Gravity Falls ("그래비티 폴즈").
  • In the credits there are the cryptograms, but there is no whispering at the end of the intro.
  • Old Man McGucket is also called once "할아버지" (Halaboji) Grandfather. However in Korea, "Halaboji" means "old man" too.
  • Mabel is referred by Dipper as his younger sister ("여동생" "Yeodongseng") although Dipper is 5 minutes younger than Mabel.
  • There are transcriptions of Dipper's, Mabel's and Stan's name in Korean in the intro (디퍼 "Dipper",메이블 "Mabel",스탠 "Stan").
  • The "Backward messege" in Gideon's spell in "Gideon Rises" was replaced to another spell.
  • Gideon's song is not dubbed in Korea, and is subtitled instead.
