Welcome to this Forum Page

Minimodding, you either like it or dont. I don't. So, can we use this forum to establish a set of guideline rules. Perhaps we could create a new class of user that is allowed to give warnings. I don't know yet. Tuckyd! Says Hi MudKip 23:10, January 31, 2013 (UTC)

I think this may not be the best idea, considering warnings may prove ineffective... ah well. Not my decision, just some feedback. Guezz_WUT24 03:35, February 1, 2013 (UTC)

No minimodding. Admins and mods are the only ones who SHOULD enforce the rules, since it's their job. The regular users' job is to report other users who are violating the rules. ACursedDoor, what's inside a door. 03:42, February 1, 2013 (UTC)

I am saying, "no minimodding" but I wonder what we can do to stop it? Tuckyd! Says Hi MudKip 13:36, February 3, 2013 (UTC)

We should be strict about this. Should we kick someone if they mini-mod? ACursedDoor, what's inside a door. 00:02, February 5, 2013 (UTC)

I don't really think it's very fair to not mini modding. Sometimes, I just can't help myself saying to someone who's new "Please edit before joining chat". User:DamiedeterJR 00:08, February 5, 2013 (UTC)

I personally think minimodding is fine, as long as that user has experience on another wiki. Everything is a lie. Truth is, I died four years ago! 00:11, February 5, 2013 (UTC)

I think it's a good idea, but only to users who are responible enough to do this job. User:Dipper4561 (talk) 00:18, February 5, 2013 (UTC)Dipper4561

Damie, users can clearly see the CoC when they come into chat. So, I dont see why you insist on doing even when admins are there. Tuckyd! Says Hi MudKip 00:38, February 5, 2013 (UTC)

People can't just do it voluntarily, Dipper. Isn't that why Tuckyd CHOSE mods? To enforce the CoC since it's their job, not other user? ACursedDoor, what's inside a door. 01:15, February 5, 2013 (UTC)

Technically they were elected, except for the november crisis. Tuckyd! Says Hi MudKip 01:17, February 5, 2013 (UTC)

An dthen thiers me, Who has been away from Wikia so much recently (School aghh) who doesn't know what the heck minimodding is! I asume it is similar to an admin but not as powerful if this is the case it seems very pointless in my opinion. JAZ~ Even better in 2013! 01:45, February 5, 2013 (UTC)

eh, i guess so...idk. i kinda half go for it, sooo...yeah. Them who walks the plank. Them who hunts the fish. Them who writes journals. Them who dies in 2013. "Sorry, IDK who you are describing."

Glad to know i'm not the only one who doesn't quite know what minimodding is! JAZ~ Spread the Happiness!!! 01:53, February 5, 2013 (UTC)

Same with me, what IS minimoding? Is it a mix of mods and admins? PINK FLUFFY UNICORNS DANCING ON RAINBOWS!!!! 9:30, Febuary 4, 2013 (UTC)

Minimodding is when someone acts like a moderator or administrator and discriminates or warns other users due to their status. Tuckyd! Says Hi MudKip 02:32, February 5, 2013 (UTC)

I think that minimodding is good. I can't help but tell someone to edit before they come in. Its like being an unofficial mod helper, sub, thingy...-Rzvegg

I don't really know. I mean minimod can be bad because basically controlling the wiki is the admins job, but it can also be good becuase like what Rzvegg said minimod can be a little admin helper.Jrsushilover7 (talk) 08:09, February 5, 2013 (UTC)

I completely disagree with minimodding. I have seen minimods give warnings in other wikis and none of them were being taking seriously. Minimodding is not a good idea in my opinion. Soul Wolfy 20:34, February 5, 2013 (UTC)

I agree with Soul Wolf. Minimods' warnings will certainly have little to no effect, unlike the users who have some sort of actual authority, and are capable of kicking and/or banning them. So, I say no to minimodding. Guezz_WUT24 20:43, February 5, 2013 (UTC)

Wait so it's sombody without a title acting like they are and admin or somethign bossing others around! That's not a minimod that's a jerk! This just sounds stupid and should definatly not be alowed! JAZ~ Spread the Happiness!!! 23:13, February 5, 2013 (UTC)

Uh, no, Jaz. They don't "boss others around", as you incorrectly accused. Minimods just have some kind of impulse to remind people of the rules in case they break them. Guezz_WUT24 23:32, February 5, 2013 (UTC)

Well, I think minimodding can be good, and maybe it can work out. Hopefully we can get the well behaved users could do this job, maybe this can work out. I'M DA MERP QUEEN! (talk) 23:37, February 5, 2013 (UTC)Dipper4561

I don't rlly agree with minimods... the minimods u may promote may make othr users jealous and and the mini mods may take advantage of their new job... well its just my opinion.. Pandora19 (talk) 22:33, February 6, 2013 (UTC)

Perhaps i took the denotation of minnimoding the wroung way but i'd say it should not be encouraged but don't do anything crazy about it after all they are just trieng to help. JAZ~ Spread the Happiness!!! 01:45, February 7, 2013 (UTC)

No, no, no. Jaz, you were right the first time and so were you guezz. Minimods are both. Tuckyd! Says Hi MudKip 00:24, February 9, 2013 (UTC)

I don't think that mini-mods are a good idea. Admins and Chat-Mods are distinct positions, but for people who don't know what mini-mods are, they won't treat them seriously. I don't think it would be the most effective choice. User:Tiger Lily29

Either ay they shouldn't be encouraged So basically minnimodding is acting like an admin without any real position and some abuse this fake power. I believe to elimate e should create some sort of catchy saying (or meme using addles or something) that may encourage those ho have good intensions from minimodding, but just for the record i am still very much so against minimodding. JAZ~ Spread the Happiness!!! 14:52, February 9, 2013 (UTC)

My final thought: While it is a bad thing, it is not bad enough to have a rule against it. Guezz_WUT24 04:06, February 11, 2013 (UTC)

I don't know which side I'm on,I'm sort of neutral, like between,I think it's good to be minimoding if Chat moderator or other people responsible for Chat or other things are not there or if there away as it saids on chat that there away, but if they are there than people can leave themthe work to the people responsible. So I don't really know what side I'm on but I hope you agree with this message. User:Mabel43201 9:18, February 13,2013

@Mabel Yeah but like Guezz said, "it proves to be ineffective". 64d819.gif ACursedDoor, what's inside a door. 64d819.gif 05:32, February 14, 2013 (UTC)

Should we have a rule against minimodding?
