Gravity Falls Vinyl Soundtrack is a Vinyl soundtrack album for Gravity Falls, produced by iam8bit records and Walt Disney Records. It was announced by series creator Alex Hirsch on Twitter on November 27, 2020. The cover art of the Vinyl, created by GhostShrimp, was revealed on February 28, 2022. After multiple delays, the first wave of records, of people who initially ordered it, began to be shipped out on November 16th. Orders for the second wave shipped out in December 2022 and January 2023, ahead of their released in Q2 of that year. As of June 2022, 2 of the exclusive songs from the vinyl have been released, these being the full version of Disco Girl and We'll Meet Again. The Vinyl received a second wave of pressings in 2023 and was also nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Recording Package.

Trivia

• In 2021, as part of some promotional material for the Vinyl soundtrack, iam8bit released the full version of "Disco Girl" on a website called dipperssecretshame.iam8bit.com (Password: MasonPines).
• The website got taken down a short while later however as it was discovered too early, but reuploads of the song are on YouTube.
• On June 9, 2022, as part of the 10 year anniversary of Gravity Falls, Alex Hirsch released the full version of We'll Meet Again from the vinyl.
• The song includes vocals from Bill Cipher, Soos, Grunkle Stan and Old Man McGucket.
• The Vinyl was originally supposed to come out in 2021, but has been delayed multiple times due to issues on iam8bit's end and the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
• Disco Girl was originally planned to be featured at the end of the B-side of the first vinyl record in the set. However, it was not part of the final print.
• This turned out to be because of a request from a license holder due to a copyright issue. The track has since been removed off the vinyl's listing on iam8bit. The song can still be heard online however.
• There are currently no plans for a 3rd wave of vinyl's.
• If you look very closely at the artwork for each side featuring Dipper, Mabel, Stan, and Bill, you can find different quotes for each. This is not present on digital copies found online, however.
  • Dipper's says: "Disco Girl coming though that girl is you".
  • Mabel's says: "Who's that girl with the pig and the braces? She puts a smile on everyone's faces!"
  • Stan's says: "I'm Stan and I was wrong I'm singing the Stan Wrong Song".
  • Bill's says: "Eeeny Meeny Miney YOU".
• The Stan Wrong Song on the album is evidently an earlier render, as instead of Mabel shouting "Jazzier!", Alex Hirsch himself can be heard saying it instead.
• Whoever wrote the liner notes on tracklist included with the records mistakenly spelled "Grunkle" as "Grunkel" in every sentence the word appears in.
• A few backwards messages are sprinkled in throughout the record.
  • The first message is from Soos, saying: "Playing your record backwards is a great way to damage your record player."
  • The second message is from Alex Hirsch, saying: "Jam your thumbs directly in your eyes for a free fireworks show!"
  • The third message is from Stan, saying: "Apparently if you play this record alongside Wizard of Oz, it matches up perfectly."
• The Vinyl received a second wave of pressings in 2023 and was also nominated for a Grammy Award for for Best Recording Package.
• The songs in the vinyl were officially released on January 12, 2024 as a separate release called "Gravity Falls (Original Soundtrack)".
