"I'm telling you! He's a human corpse puppeteered by a space triangle and he's come to build an interdimensional portal to realm beyond mortal understanding! Gather up now your swords and arows, let us slay the beast in mans form before he slays us!" |
Emmaline Butternubbins was an elderly woman living in Orchard Lake, Kansas. She was the only one in Orchard Lake who knew the truth about Silas Birchtree being possessed, though her warnings fell on deaf ears, leading her to be labelled a spoilsport.
History[]
Emmaline lived in the town of Orchard Lake, Kansas. She was known to cook sweet corn-bread and leave it to cool on her windowsill. Things soon changed when the recently deceased con man Silas Birchtree returned to spread his acquired knowledge about Bill Cipher (who in reality had taken control of Silas's dead body), that would lead to the creation of Ciphertology and renaming of the town to BillVille.
Emmaline was one of 4 townsfolk who was interviewed about Silas and Ciphertology for "The Orchard Lake Cornhusk" newspaper. When asked, she stated Silas was a dead and that a space triangle was puppeteering his body to manipulate them to build him an interdimensional portal to another realm. This in fact was the truth and she warns the townsfolk to take up arms and slay him before he slays them. However, no one listened to Emmaline and she was labelled a spoilsport by the newspaper.
As she predicted, Silas, under the control of Bill, renamed the town to BillVille and would begin using the townsfolk to construct his portal. He would also brutally slay anyone who didn't fall in line. Only Emmaline would remain unconverted by Bill. She would pass out pamphlets to children annoyed by her that read "I TRUSTED A TRIANGLE?" which an image of Bill Cipher in front of red flames.
Eventually the Ciphertology cult would begin to see trouble with the governement and the remaining followers would hold up in a Waffle House until the portal was complete. Emmaline, by this time enraged that no one liked her pamphlets, hurled a torch into the Waffle House serving as the CipherTologist's HQ, and ignited helium tanks that blew up, destroying the portal. The government would soon open fire and kill the remaining cult members, as well as Silas.
Emmaline Butternubbins was awarded the Medal of Honor for her bravery in taking down Ciphertology, which she later used as an ashtray.
