The Bus Driver is an employee of the Speedy Beaver bus service.
In "Weirdmageddon 3: Take Back The Falls," he drives the bus that takes Mabel and Dipper Pines back home to Piedmont. When Stan puts Waddles on the bus and tells him that the "pig is coming with the kids," the bus driver insists that animals are strictly prohibited aboard moving vehicles. However, he changes his mind and welcomes Waddles aboard the bus when Stan and Ford silently threaten him with their brass knuckles and gun, respectively.
The bus driver has short blond hair. He wears sunglasses and a uniform that consists of a navy blue hat, jacket, and pants over a light blue shirt and tie. The hat and jacket both have a gold circular logo, presumably for the Speedy Beaver company.
- This character's voice actor, Kyle MacLachlan, was most likely a nod from Alex Hirsch to the David Lynch TV, show Twin Peaks where MacLachlan starred as special agent Dale Cooper. Alex took much inspiration from Twin Peaks when creating Gravity Falls. Twin Peaks shares a lot with Gravity Falls, such as paranormal mysteries, Pacific Northwest setting, and cast of bizzare characters.
- Alex wanted Kyle to do the role as the idea of Agent Cooper being the one to drive Dipper and Mabel home made him feel like they’re going to be all right.
- Alex reached out to Kyle's managers who did not get back to him, so Alex wrote a personal letter to Kyle, telling him how much Twin Peaks meant to him and how meaningful it would be for him to be the one to take Dipper and Mabel home. Kyle got back immediately and agreed to do the role.
