8 Ball is an interdimensional criminal from an unknown dimension[2] who appears during the events of Weirdmageddon.
History
Background
Eons before the events of the series 8 Ball indulged in criminal activities before being called together by Bill Cipher, along with Amorphous Shape, Hectorgon, Keyhole, Kryptos, Paci-Fire, Teeth, Pyronica, and Zanthar.[2]
Season 2
In "The Last Mabelcorn," after Ford receives Bill's warning that Weirdmageddon is coming, 8 Ball's arms are briefly seen on an image of a wheel with symbols. Near the end of the episode, in a flashback, when Ford confronts Bill for lying to him, 8 Ball's laughing silhouette is seen in the representation of another dimension projected in the Mindscape.
In "Weirdmageddon Part 1," during the cold open, Bill introduces 8 Ball along with the rest of his friends to the residents of Gravity Falls. Afterwards, on Main Street, 8 Ball and the others watch Bill turn Ford into a golden statue, taunt Dipper and burn the journals. After that Bill asks, which is the reason they came here in the first place, to which 8 Ball answers to party. Overjoyed, Bill then tells 8 Ball and Teeth to eat Dipper as a reward, after Bill goes to the Fearamid with the rest of the Henchmaniacs, 8 Ball and Teeth see Dipper and 8 Ball, asks him, if they should eat Dipper, Teeth, tells him, that they should and start to pursuit Dipper. However, Dipper manages to get away from them. Later in the episode, after Time Baby and the Time Police are vaporized, 8 Ball and Teeth approach Bill to warn him that Dipper is still roaming free, and might try to free Mabel from her bubble. However, Bill isn't worried, as he has Gideon on the case, so the party carries on.
In "Weirdmageddon 2: Escape From Reality," 8 Ball, appears partying at the very beginning of the episode and then, he and Kryptos, help him to build a throne of human agony and listens Bill plan to take over the world, therefore, he and the rest of Bill's friends attempt to leave Gravity Falls to spread their chaos across the world, only to collide with an invisible barrier. Later, he's seen injured, with many bandages and scratches and almost inmediately, he and the others are subjected to Bill's rage with lightning bolts over their inability to leave. He runs away scared, along with the rest of the Henchmaniacs.
In "Weirdmageddon 3: Take Back The Falls," 8 Ball, first appears, partying with Hectorgon and Amorphous Shape, during a Shandra's coverage. Later, 8 Ball is present when Bill tortures Ford and laughs at him, when Bill asks his minions if he should use other 500 volts on him, the Shacktron, breaks through the same wall Time Baby broke earlier, 8 Ball, along his comrades are taken back at seeing that people survived Weirdmageddon and Bill forces him and the rest to fight the Shacktron. He, later participates in the battle against the Shacktron, during which the being is hit by one of the Eye Bats' beams when Wendy hijacks it, turning most of 8 Ball's head into stone causing him to stop moving. He's not seen later in the episode, after the Shacktron battle. Following Bill's defeat at Stan's hands, 8 Ball is presumably sucked back into the Nightmare Realm along with its comrades.
In "Gravity Falls: Lost Legends", he makes a brief cameo during the tale "Don't Dimention It!", in which, 8 Ball, is revelated to be sucked by the rift and that his head is completely healed from the petrification Wendy caused him, appears alongside Keyhole, next to a statue of Bill Cipher, that has a label that says "He was the wrost", while Mabel falls between dimentions, this implies, that posibly 8 Ball, along the rest of the Henchmaniacs, actually hated Bill, for the abuse he made them go through a daily basis and that thanks to him, they're stuck back in the Nightmare Realm.
Appearance
8 Ball is olive green, with a lighter chest and stomach, and has a muscular upper body. It has large ears with a what apears to be a bite in one of them, a prominent underbite and large teeth and fangs. 8 Ball's eyes are magic 8-balls that glow yellow at the pupils which usually are pointed in different directions. The being has cuffs around its right wrist and ankle, with a small segment of broken chain dangling from both of them.

Trivia
- Robertryan Cory, who designed the Henchmaniacs, had the most trouble coming up with 8 Ball's appearance.[3], as evidenced by his multiple character designs of the being.
- 8 Ball appears as an easter egg in Rick and Morty's episode "Rest and Ricklaxation". He may be seen lying between all the snot in the toxic world.
- 8 ball replaces Dipper in the Weirdmageddon intro, with him being scared and dropping the candle at Dippers body, rather than vice versa.
- 8 Ball, along Zanthar aren't seen after the Shacktron battle. Presumably, because, he got his head petrified during the battle.
- Therefore, he is not seen during the scene, where the Henchmaniacs and the Nightmare Realm's monsters are sucked by the rift and/or if the petrification wore off.
- In Gravity Falls: Lost Legends, it's revelated he was sucked by the rift and his head got healed.
- 8 Ball, along Zanthar are the only Henchmaniacs without an aura.
- 8 Ball, along Keyhole, make a brief cameo in Gravity Falls: Lost Legends, during the tale "Don't Dimention It!", while Mabel is falling through dimentions. In which he and Keyhole are standing next to a statue of Bill, that has the label: "He was the wrost", while he stares angrily at it.
- This implies that possibly 8 Ball and possibly, the rest of the Henchmaniacs actually didn't liked Bill.
- According to Gravity Falls: The Complete Series, in a deleted scene of Weirdmageddon 2: Escape From Reality, Bill was planned to kill him, turning him into dust, leaving only his eyes behind, after suggesting to "party very hard" to destroy the barrier.
