"It's a dilemma to be sure."
Yes, but the thing is we don't know how long Ford was researching in Gravity Falls, and thus, we can't work backward from 1982.
Haven't seen the episode, but I would say that, unless there are other GF references in it that could connect to this, or there's some dialogue that suggests it's a reference (like "why would you draw gnomes like this?" or something), then I would just chalk it up to the shows having similar animation styles and that just being a common way to draw gnomes.
Um, no. That's not a reference; that's just how gnomes look. It may be a case of the SVTFOE crew taking "inspiration" from GF, but we have no proof of that.
The Crusader of Truth wrote: Hey guys. I know this thread is dead but it's the closest thing to asking an active admin. I couldn't find info on any of the help pages.
I wanted to ask about PAGENAME on articles. On Weirdmageddon_(event), "(event)" is included in the infobox. Does this community want that removed to read just "Weirdmageddon"? And if so, why not remove "name=" as a whole, since it's already included?
Yes, I would think that should be removed. Thank you.
I have added the current Bill image on his page as an option, thereby resetting the Bill image poll.
I have rehighlighted this thread so that people can revote on the Bill image poll. Also, I think that we should extend the Bill image poll deadline to a week from tomorrow, namely, the 2nd of October.
Wow, I can't believe I didn't see this before.
I loved Gravity Falls as a whole, but I feel that the first ten episodes had a far higher quality than the others. The second half of Season 2, however, was great in its own right, even though it wasn't as good as the beginning of Season 1.
I think that the Weirdmageddon arc was extremely weak. None of the three episodes was particularly good, and all but Part 1 were actively bad. Dipper gives up his apprenticeship with Ford for no real reason except to maintain a status quo (the show's ending, too. What's the point of trying to keep a status quo of any sort?), Stan has to learn to forgive Ford in the heat of the moment, etc. etc. forced cliches.
And the way they defeat Bill is the most infuriating resolution of any show that I've seen. First, the clothes swap thing is cheating because their voices inexplicably switch, too. Second, we're supposed to put all this stock into a plan with the memory gun, which has hardly been explained to us, making the memory gun's a sort of get-out-of-jail free card to the writers, as it can work any way they want. And, the worst part, Stan getting his memory back after less than four minutes of screen time. Meaning that there was absolutely no sacrifice to defeating Bill whatsoever, even though a good portion of the episode talks about said non-sacrifice.
If that's not enough ranting to you, I defer you to my further ranting.
Also, every other animated show I like also has an art book, so I ask: WHERE IS THE GRAVITY FALLS ART BOOK I WOULD BUY THE HECK OUT OF THAT.
Since every other cartoon show I like already has a comic book, I am wondering: how good or similar to the show are these comic books usually? I haven't read any of the actual comic books, but I've read a few synopses on the series' respective wikis. Has anyone read these "comic books based on series" before? How good do they tend to be?
But maybe he briefly "possessed" the curtain by accident?
There's also a belief that ghosts can manifest themselves in the form of a light breeze, so it could be that Dipper was able to move things, however weakly.
In any case, the ultimate reason is for a visual effect.
Maybe he's just "kinda real"? Like, he could move that puppet around just as if he had a physical form, so maybe he could just move the curtain a little?

Can no one get my previous one, "Except for that one"? I'll give you a hint: Dipper says it.
